Who We Are

Barbara Walters

Barbara Walters, President of The HR Advantage, brings 25 years of experience in the areas of corporate human resources including:

  • strategic planning,
  • organizational development,
  • executive coaching,
  • training and development,
  • compliance and employment liability.

In both her internal and consultant roles, Barbara has been a trusted advisor to presidents and CEOs, as someone with an in-depth understanding of human behavior and relationships.  Her background in international senior recruitment, as a HR executive, in large and mid-sized, union and non-union environments, within multiple industries, has earned her a broad-based business acumen from which to draw.

Barbara received her Master’s Degree with Distinction in Human Relations/Industrial Counseling from New York Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor’s in Training and Organizational Behavior from the State University of New York.

Ms. Walters has served as President of ASTD, the American Society for Training and Development.  Currently, she is an Executive on Campus and mentor at Baruch College in New York City, where she guides graduating students entering the job market.
